Pedestrian hit in Ajax collision passes away

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) said that the 56-year-old male pedestrian who suffered head injury in a collision in Ajax, has passed away.

“Investigators have been advised that the 56-year-old male pedestrian has passed away due to the injuries sustained from Tuesdays collision in Ajax,” said the police on Friday.

This is the second fatality on the roadways in the Durham Region for 2020. Last year this time there was three fatalities, it added.

The identity of the deceased is being withheld at the discretion of his family.
