Physiotherapist trainee held for multiple sexual assault

Durham Police yesterday said a physiotherapist in training is facing charges of sexual assault after a patient came forward to police.

On Tuesday, February 27, members from Central East Division responded to an allegation of a sexual assault that occurred at a physiotherapy clinic located at Gibb Street in Oshawa. The victim, was a patient at the clinic and was sexually assaulted on more than one occasion. One of the assaults was captured on video, said a police statement.

Police are concerned there may be other victims and are requesting anyone with information to come forward.

The suspect, age 34 from Toronto was charged and released on an undertaking. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
