Pickering shooting after altercation in bar

A 23-year-old man was driven to a Toronto hospital after being shot during an altercation on Brock Road in Pickering on Friday morning.

On January 31, at 3:50 am, members of West Division received information that a victim, who was a passenger in a vehicle, showed up to a Toronto-area hospital with minor injuries after being grazed with a bullet, said a police media release.

Investigators spoke to witnesses and it appears that the victim and his male friend were at the Island Mix bar in Pickering when a verbal altercation took place between the victim and some unknown males. The shooting took place while they were driving along Brock Road.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. The incident occurred at approximately 2:45 a.m. on Brock Road between Plummer Street and Hwy 401 and investigators are looking for any video or dash cam footage of the incident.

  1. This is the 2nd time in as many months that gunfire has been at this bar, how do we shut the bar down? I believe most of the patrons come from Scarborough to attend this bar. I bet if the police look hard enough they will find the drugs that always come with the guns.
