Stabbing in car – drug deal gone wrong?

A male victim was stabbed after an altercation on Bellwood Drive in Whitby on Saturday night.

On February 1 at 5:15 pm., members of Central West Division were called to Bellwood Drive in Whitby for a stabbing. The victim and his friends met with the suspect and a verbal altercation occurred in the vehicle. The suspect stabbed the victim, said a police media release.

When the passengers and the victim jumped out of the Honda, a second masked suspect showed up armed with a knife and jumped into the vehicle before they drove off, it added.

The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a Toronto-area trauma center.

The suspects are described as male, in their teens. They were armed with knives.
