Police looking for escaped driver of stolen truck

One passenger arrested and the driver of a stolen vehicle is wanted after both fled from police during a traffic stop in Courtice.

On October 6 at approximately 8 pm, a member of East Division stopped a vehicle in the parking lot of 1403 Regional Highway #2. Police noted the licence plate on the pick-up truck to be obscured. As the officer investigated the two occupants, they both fled on foot. The passenger was arrested without incident. The 2004 Chevrolet Silverado was a stolen vehicle from the Durham area.

Christopher Farrow, age 30, of Oshawa is charged with: Theft of Motor Vehicle; Possess Property Obtained by Crime under $5,000 and Fail to Comply with Release Order x2.

He was released on an Undertaking.

The investigation is ongoing and investigators continue to look for the driver.
