Stranger stabs Oshawa man in foot and runs away

Durham Police yesterday said a 41-year-old man was taken to hospital after being stabbed in Oshawa early Friday morning.

On October 8 at about 3:05 am, members from Central East Division were called to the area of Simcoe Street South and Olive Avenue for the report of a male who had been stabbed. Officers arrived and located the victim who was suffering from injuries to his leg as a result of being stabbed. The victim was approached by an unknown male and stabbed. The male suspect then fled on foot, police said.

The victim suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The suspect is described as male, white, wearing a black jacket with fur on it.

  1. If why is there not cameras in this area when everyone knows that this area is full of all differen types of crime.
    That’s right cause they stick the cameras in areas that don’t really matter.
    That really don’t need them.
    But what do you really think happens at 3 o’clock in the morning on the streets nothit’s on the streets nothing good happens 3 o’clock in the morning last year driving to work to get paid.

  2. Well on that morning the victim was sleeping at that location because he is homeless and had been sleeping there for months without getting hurt until that morning. So if the city did more to protect the homeless people & give more safe sleep places to help them stay safe maybe situations like this wouldn’t happen as much. All of you judgemental people should try to walk a mile in their shoes. Not all of them for lazy, drug addicts etc. Everyone in this world has their own stories but no one really takes the time to listen to them.
