Three suspects are at large after an armed robbery in Whitby. Police have released descriptions of two of the suspects and a photo of the incident.
On Tuesday, September 15, at around 3 pm, members of Central West Division responded to an unknown trouble call in the area of Taunton Road East and Baldwin Street South.
The victim used Facebook Marketplace to arrange a meeting with the suspect to sell him a watch. Upon meeting, the victim was pepper sprayed and physically assaulted. The suspects fled in a black SUV.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries, police said.
Suspect #1: Black man, 18-20 years old. He is approximately 6’0” and has long braided hair. He was wearing a, black toque, blue medical mask, black tracksuit, yellow work gloves and grey running shoes.
Suspect #2: Male, approximately 5’5″-5’7″. He was wearing a black medical mask, beige sweatshirt, dark grey trackpants, black shoes and black nitrile gloves.
