Missing teen who was not dressed for winter found

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) last evening announced that the missing vulnerable teen from Ajax has been located.

Investigators from DRPS West Division confirm that they have located the missing 16-year-old Ajax teen safe. Investigators would like to thank everyone for their assistance in this matter, said a police tweet.

Earlier in the day, Durham Police investigators continued to search for a missing 16-year old. It was believed he was not dressed for the weather.

The DRPS Public Safety Unit set up a Command Post at Salem Road and Taunton Road, and was out yesterday checking the area of Audley Road north and Taunton Road, canvassing neighbourhoods in that area for the missing male. Officers also searched a green space for clues.
