Durham Police are looking for three suspects after multiple vehicles were set on fire in Whitby.
On Monday, February 17, at about 7:40 pm, members of Central West Division said they were dispatched to an assist fire call in the area of Hopkins Street and Nichol Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located several vehicles on fire. Whitby Fire extinguished the fires and no injuries were reported.
A review of video footage revealed three suspects attended a secure area and poured an ignitable liquid over vehicles and then lit them on fire, said police.
It did not say how many vehicles were set alight.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with video footage, including dashcam, to please contact police.
