Residents help nab women who stole wallet at Walmart

Durham residents have helped police investigators locate and arrest two female suspects and solve a crime of fraud.

On Tuesday, September 26, members of West Division responded to a theft at the Wal-Mart located at 270 Kingston Road East in Ajax. The victim had her wallet stolen by an unknown female while she was shopping, said a police report.

The victim’s debit and credit cards were later used at various locations in Ajax and Toronto for fraudulent purchases. Investigators tracked the purchases and identified two female suspects and a suspect vehicle. With the help of DRPS’s Help Solve a Crime both females were arrested.

One suspect age 22, and another age 47, both from Ajax were charged released on an undertaking. Names and further details available at www.drps.ca.
