Youth faces multiple firearms and drugs charges

A man faces numerous firearms-related charges and three others face a drug charge after a gun investigation led to the seizure of a firearm and drugs.

On Thursday, July 11, members of the Gun and Gang Unit concluded a firearm investigation. Investigators executed a search warrant on a residence on Ritson Road South in Oshawa. Two males and two females were arrested at the residence. Investigators recovered a firearm, drugs and Canadian currency.

Shaquille Lovell, age 21, of Ritson Road South in Oshawa is charged with:

  • Careless Carry of a Prohibited Firearm;
  • Contravention of Storage Regulations;
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm;
  • Possession of a Firearm Knowing It’s Possession is Unauthorized;
  • Possession of a Loaded Prohibited Firearm and
  • Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine)

He was held for a bail hearing.

Three Seniors

Robert Morrison, age 71, Jacqueline Fitzgerald, age 59, both of Ritson Road South in Oshawa and Katherine Segal, age 57, of Quebec Street in Oshawa each face a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine).

They were released on a Promise to Appear.
