Road restrictions in Pickering, Oshawa and Clarington

The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Regional Highway 2 in Bowmanville, in the municipality of Clarington.

  • When: November 16. Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
  • Where: Regional Highway 2, from Maple Grove Road to 100 metres west of Maple Grove Road in Bowmanville, in the municipality of Clarington.
  • Why: To safely complete road repairs.

Oshawa closure

Intersection of Bridle Road and Windfields Farm Drive E will be closed to through traffic and emergency services. Road closure and detour signs will be posted in accordance with provincial standards.

  • When: from November 16, 2021 until November 30, 2021
  • Why: new service connections – 2585 Bridle Road

Brock Road restrictions

The sidewalk on west side of Brock Road, between Brockridge Community Park and Major Oaks Road, from the Brockridge Community Park entrance to approximately 55m north, will be temporarily closed to facilitate sidewalk maintenance repair. Pedestrians will be detoured to the west side of Brock Road. The closure is to facilitate sidewalk maintenance repair. Duration: Wednesday, November 10, 2021 to Tuesday, November 30, 2021

There are on going lane closures on Brock Road 53m South of Taunton Road, to Uxbridge Pickering Townline Road, to Ramp.

  • Purpose: Brock Road in Pickering and Uxbridge, between Taunton Road and Reg. Hwy. 47 will require periodic lane restriction to facilitate installation of a broadband fibre optic network.
  • Duration: November 8, 2021 to February 25, 2022
