Robber caught after fourth attempt at same store

Durham police investigators have arrested a 34-year-old male for several robbery incidents and thefts that occurred over the past month in Oshawa.      

On Wednesday, April 6 at about 9:30 pm, members of Central East Division were called to the Circle K convenience store on Park Road South for a commercial robbery. The suspect indicated that he had a knife, but no knife was observed. He stole cigarettes before fleeing on foot, said a police statement.

The victim didn’t suffer any physical injuries.

The suspect was identified as being the same suspect from three other similar incidents at this same location. He was also wanted for an LCBO theft on Gibb Street in Oshawa on April 3, 2022. He pulled out a handgun on a citizen who confronted him during the theft, police said.
