Search warrant results in arrest of drugs partners

A male and female are facing drug and firearm charges after an investigation by the Central East Community Response Unit (CRU).

On Thursday, June 1, members of the Central East CRU team concluded an investigation into drug trafficking in Oshawa. Police received information that a male was trafficking cocaine from a residence on Highland Avenue in Oshawa.

A Controlled Drug and Substances Act search warrant was authorized and executed. A male and female were taken into custody without incident. The investigation resulted in the seizure of drugs and a firearm, said a police statement.

The man, age 30, of no fixed address and the woman, age 32, of Oshawa, were held for a bail hearing. Names and further details available at www.drps.ca.
