The Municipality of Clarington yesterday announced that on Monday, June 5, crews will start work on the construction of Brookhill Parkette in Bowmanville, located at 2350 Green Road.
The park is expected to open in mid-August following a safety inspection and certification.
The construction work includes the installation of:
- A play pod with playground equipment, a concrete curb, drainage, and wood fibre safety surfacing.
- A shade structure with a concrete pad.
- Park signage, benches and waste receptacles.
- Various landscape features and vegetation.
Temporary fencing will be erected around the construction area, said a statement.
It reminded residents to stay a safe distance back and not enter the construction site.
