Shots fired in Ajax hit cars, houses; people safe

Durham Police are investigating after multiple shots were fired on a residential street in Ajax on Sunday morning. There were no injuries reported.

On June 13, at 2 pm, members from West Division were dispatched to the area of Lankester Lane in Ajax after a resident found damaged to their vehicle from bullets. Police investigated and located several casings on the street. A second victim approached police and advised that there was damage to their residence and a bullet in their living room.

Witnesses have advised that they heard gunshots at approximately 2 am. There are no suspect descriptors at this time.
