Durham Police has identified as 42-year-old Patrick Montgomery and 42-year-old Andrieana Montgomery, the victims of Saturday’s homicide in Oshawa.
The accused has also been identified as a 30-year-old, said police. He has been charged with First Degree Murder x2, and has been held for a bail hearing.
The accused is known to both victims, however, the motive behind the murders is still under investigation. This is not a domestic related incident, police said.
Police remain in the area and request anyone with information to come forward.

On Saturday, July 13 at about 12:35 pm, members from Central East Division received a radio call for sounds of gunshots in the area of Jane Avenue and Glenforest Street in Oshawa.
Officers arrived on scene and located a 42-year-old male who had been shot. Attempts were made to transport him to hospital, however he scummed to his injuries prior to the transport being completed.
Officers received information on scene that led them to a secondary address on Glenforest Street. Upon entering the residence officers located a 42-year-old female who had also been shot. She was pronounced deceased on scene.
A 30-year-old male was taken into custody at the secondary address without incident.
Police said our thoughts remain with the families who have been impacted by this tragedy and we will provide further information as it becomes available.
