500+ visit Uxbridge Urban Provincial Park on opening day

More than 500 visitors stopped by Uxbridge Urban Provincial Park onthe  opening day to explore existing trails on the property.

The park opened to public on Canada Day.

The Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, Ontario Parks staff and community members were on hand on July 1 to welcome guests and answer questions about the property.

Ontario Parks has marked three self-guided trails with trail markers to help visitors navigate the pathways. Limited parking is available on site.

Other amenities and offerings are limited at this time while Ontario Parks is developing a park management plan. Once the park management plan is finalized, Ontario Parks will take a gradual and phased approach to park operations and any new park development.
