DRPS Guns and Gangs unit arrested four men in Ajax following an investigation into firearm trafficking in Durham Region.
In July, investigators concluded an investigation into firearm trafficking. As a result, members of the Guns and Gang Unit, with the assistance of the DRPS Tactical Support Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence in Ajax.
Four males were located in the residence and taken into custody. A search of the residence located two handguns with overcapacity magazines, a replica Mac10 firearm, ammunition, and Canadian currency.
At the time of their arrests, two of the accused were already on weapons prohibition conditions.
The suspects are two 21-year old men from Ajax, a 22-year old man from Ajax and a 21-year old man from Toronto. All were charged held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
