Teens bear-spray victim and flee with jacket

Two teens were arrested after they robbed a Pickering teen of his jacket after posting it for sale online.

On Tuesday, January 7 at 6:40 pm, the victim met with two unknown males at a commercial parking lot on Brock Road south of Kingston Road in Pickering to sell a brand name jacket which was posted online. The two suspects took the jacket and sprayed the victim with bear spray and drove off in a white Honda Accord, said a police media release.

The victim sustained minor injuries.

Two suspects were identified and they were arrested in the evening.

Ethan Thomas, age 18, of Huxtable Lane in Scarborough is charged with: Robbery; Administer Noxious Thing; Disguise with Intent and Possess Proceeds Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.

Matthew Joseph, age 19, of Meadowvale Street in Toronto is charged with Robbery and Possess Proceeds Obtained by Crime Under $5,000.

They were both released on an undertaking.
