Help find Ajax hit-and-run Honda Civic car

The car that knocked down a young woman in Ajax in November was likely a Honda Civic, according to Durham Police investigators.

The driver fled the scene and is at large still.

On November 26 at approximately 7:40 pm, a 26-year-old female pedestrian was thrown through the air after being struck at the intersection of Taunton Road and Gillett Drive in Ajax. The vehicle involved failed to remain at the scene, said a police media release.

Officers submitted the debris for analysis and received information that the evidence located belongs to a 2006 to 2011 Honda Civic, either a two or four door vehicle. The victim described the vehicle as a black vehicle, it added.

The victim suffered serious injuries and is still recovering.
