Three 18-year olds held for threat with toy gun

Three male suspects were arrested after threatening a victim with an imitation handgun in Bowmanville on Thursday.

On November 26, at about 12:10 am, members of East Division were called to the area of Liberty Street North and King Street East in Bowmanville after a victim was threatened by the suspects, police said.

The suspects drove by the victim’s residence in a dark tinted vehicle and police were called. Police located the suspect vehicle and also located a discarded imitation Glock handgun nearby. All three parties were taken into custody and arrested.

Marco Costa-Gil, Keron Wells, Njabulo Mhlongo, all 18 years of age, of Clarington were charged with: Utter Threats/Death or Bodily Harm; Use Imitation Firearm to Commit Indictable Offence. and Possess Weapon for Committing Offence. COSTA-GIL was held for a bail hearing and the other two suspects were released on an Undertaking.
