Three seriously injured in two-vehicle collision

As a result of a motor-vehicle collision involving two vehicles that occurred in Oshawa, three occupants received serious injuries.

On Friday, July 30, at approximately 11:11 am officers were called to a serious two-vehicle collision that occurred on Ritson Road North, north of Conlin Road. A silver Chevrolet Cobalt had been travelling north on Ritson Road when it struck a southbound grey Toyota Corolla. It is believed the Chevrolet was attempting to turn left into a private driveway.

Both drivers of the vehicles were transported to a local hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries. The passenger of the Toyota Corolla was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre with critical injuries, where they remain in critical, but stable condition. All three people reside in Oshawa.

Members of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene to conduct an investigation. The area of the roadway was closed for several hours while evidence was collected.
