Tractor-trailer, waste truck crash closes Lake Ridge Road

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday said one person was sent to hospital after serious tractor-trailer, waste truck collision.

It said members of DRPS North Division were at Reach Street and Lake Ridge Road in Uxbridge for a serious collision between a tractor trailer and a waste truck. One driver was transported to a Toronto trauma centre.

Another tweet announced a road closure for the motor vehicle collision investigation. Lake Ridge Road from Scugog Line 9 to Strattonville Crescent (Uxbridge) and Reach Street from Meed Road to Testa Road were closed and later reopened.

Earlier, DRPS announced a road closure in Oshawa.

Wentworth Street between Oxford Street and Cedar Street was closed due to a motor vehicle collision investigation. This road closure has been re-opened, said a later tweet.
