Traffic restrictions on Liberty St, Baseline Road

The Region of Durham has announced that the lane restrictions on Liberty Street North in Bowmanville have been extended to September 11.

It, however, announced that there will be no restrictions over the long weekend.

  • When: August 31 to September 11 (daytime only). Unfavourable weather conditions may influence the work schedule.
  • Where: Liberty Street, north of King Street East near Alexander Place and Liberty Place, in Bowmanville (Clarington).
  • Why: To safely install new sanitary sewer services.

Note: The Region realizes that the construction work will be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Baseline Road closed at CP rail crossing

Baseline Road will be closed at the CP crossing from Hancock Road to McKnight Road from September 8 at 7 am to September 11 at 6 pm. The closure is to accommodate CP rail surface construction.

Use detours via Solina Road, Bloor Street and Courtice Road.

Pickering Road Paving

The Regional Municipality of Durham is paving Breezy Drive, Vistula Drive and Essa Crescent in the City of Pickering.

Work will consist of curb and gutter replacement, catch basin and manhole structure adjustments, base repairs, road paving and new pavement markings.

Construction Schedule: The Region’s contractor, Coco Paving Inc., will start work on September 8, and is expected to complete the work by September 25.
