Two caught on camera pouring liquid, setting cars on fire

Durham Police are looking for suspects after fire at an auto body shop in Pickering.

On Saturday, October 26, at about 4:40 am, members of West Division responded to an alarm call at Carstar, an auto body shop located at 1167 Kingston Road. At about 4:10 am, two suspects attended the business in a blue Honda Civic SI and began pouring a liquid over two of the vehicles on the property.

The suspects then ignited the vehicles and fled the scene. Officers arrived on scene where Pickering Fire was extinguishing multiple cars on fire.

The incident occurred while the business was closed and no injuries were reported, police said.

The two suspects appeared to be male and were wearing all dark clothing, masks and gloves. Photos of the suspects and suspect vehicle can be viewed at www.drps.ca.
