Two in the police net after drugs investigation

Following a drug investigation, officers have arrested two Oshawa residents, seized an illegal firearm, drugs and cash.

On December 9 members from the Gun and Gang Enforcement Unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Bloor Street as part of a drug and gun investigation. Investigators arrested two individuals and seized cocaine, cash and a loaded handgun with an over capacity magazine, said a police statement.

All items were seized and the suspects were arrested without incident.

Jacob Dipoce, age 23, of Bloor Street in Oshawa, is charged with: Numerous Firearms Offences including being in Possession of a Prohibited Device; Breach Firearms Prohibition Order; Trafficking in Cocaine x3; Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x3.

Kaitlin Leask, age 24, of No Fixed Address, was charged with: Numerous Firearms Offences; Breach of Probation; Trafficking x2; Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime x2.

They were both held for a bail hearing.
