No GO trains on Lakeshore East till Monday

There will be a full suspension of Lakeshore East rail service starting Friday, December 10 to Sunday, December 12. The affected section is from Guildwood to Oshawa GO, said a Metrolinx, operator of GO Transit, statement.

Construction work along the Lakeshore East corridor will require the suspension of Lakeshore East train service between Guildwood GO and Oshawa GO beginning at 10 pm on Friday, December 10 until the end of service on Sunday, December 12.

Eastbound Service
• Starting Friday, December 10 the 9:05 pm from Union Station to Oshawa GO will be the last train to run all stops to Oshawa GO.
• Bus replacements will run express from Guildwood GO to Pickering GO and then make all stops to Oshawa GO.

Westbound Service
• Starting Friday, December 10 the 9:20 pm from Oshawa GO to Union Station will be the last train to run all stops to Union Station.
• Bus replacements will make all stops from Oshawa GO to Pickering GO and then run express to Guildwood GO

Work on Rouge River Bridge

Timber decking replacement on the Rouge River Bridge tracks will be ongoing from Friday, December 10 to Sunday, December 12, said Metrolinx.

Major work will continue on the Rouge River Bridge to replace the track ties and rail on the bridge. Work will be continuous (24 hours per day) from Friday evening until Monday morning. Access to and from Rouge Hill Station’s north parking lot is closed and will be intermittently required to transport material to and from the Rouge River Bridge.
