You’re invited to some of the best live festive events

The Keene Centre for the Arts has extended an invitation to residents of Durham, Peterborough and Northumberland to a select live festive events of this year.

“We have been having a full calendar of live shows since summer, but for this month we scheduled only four events because we know that everyone wants to be at home at this time of the year,” says Ida Brown, organizer.

“Our events are family friendly with food and bar service as well as a playroom for the kids upstairs,” adds Brown.

Christmas Market & Pink Floyd

On Saturday, December 11th from 2 pm to 6 pm, the Keene Centre for the Arts will feature a very special Christmas Market Day.

Keene Christmas Market will be replete with good cheer, goodies and live music by SJ Riley, who is going to sing Christmas songs. There will be Tea with Santa, opening of the Little Village Shop, raffle draws and much more, says Brown.

Entry is $5 at the door.

The Keene Christmas Market grand finale at 8 pm will be Christmas with Pink Floyd!

The tribute will be played by the amazing Five Mile Turn band. “It promises to be unforgettable,” says Brown.

Christmas Cantata

Finally, on Friday, December 17th at 7 pm, Rice Lake True And Free returns to Keene with a musical journey for the Christmas story.

This is called a Cantata and will be sure to amaze you, says Brown.

Elton Joan Band

On Saturday December 4th, Keene Centre for the Arts had a phenomenal success with a ladies’ band – The Elton Joan Band – playing the music of Elton John. Joan Marshall’s love of great piano music inspired her to create The Elton Joan Band, Canada’s unique all female tip-of-the-hat to the timeless tunes of Sir Elton John.
