Two robberies in same area of Oshawa

Investigators are looking for a suspect following the robbery of a convenience store in Oshawa on Thursday evening.

On Monday, June 14, 2021, members from Central East Division were called to Sivas Mart Convenience store located at Park Road South and Elmgrove Avenue for the report of a robbery that occurred last week. The victim reported that on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at approximately 8:00 p.m., the suspect entered the store and indicated that he had a weapon as he proceeded to steal various items. The victim followed the suspect out of the store and the suspect assaulted the victim and fled on a bike. He was last seen riding south from the store. No weapon was seen.

The victim received minor injuries as a result of the assault.

It is believed that this incident is connected to a convenience store robbery that occurred in the area earlier in the day. (21-135571)

The suspect is described as male, white, 25-30 years, 5’5″, medium build with a fair complexion, black hair and dark facial hair. He was wearing a black hat, blue collared shirt, shorts and was riding a bicycle.
