Police looking for suspects in two Oshawa robberies

Durham police investigators are asking the public to help identify suspect(s) after two separate convenience store robberies in Oshawa on Saturday.

On March 28 at about 11:55 am, members of Central East Division responded to a convenience store robbery at the Red Maple Convenience store near Eulalie Avenue in Oshawa. The armed suspect entered the store and made a demand for cash. The suspect left the store and fled in a white vehicle, said a police statement.

At round 1 pm, members of Central East Division responded to another robbery at the J.S. Mart Convenience store on Ritson Road in Oshawa. The armed suspect entered the store and made a demand for cash. The suspect stole a quantity of cash before fleeing on foot, the police said.

Police attended both incidents and searched the area with negative results. There were no reported physical injuries to either victims, it added.

The first incident, the suspect is described as: male, wearing a mask and armed with a handgun. He was seen getting into a white vehicle.

The second incident, the suspect is described as: male, white, 6′ tall, thin build, about 26 – 30 years of age, he was wearing a black mask, blue baseball cap under a black hood/black jacket, blue jeans and was armed with a handgun.
