Two who pointed gun at Subway staff arrested

Durham Police investigators have arrested two suspects and are looking for a third after seizing a handgun in Ajax, Durham Police said yesterday.

On Sunday, May 1, members of West Division Criminal Investigation Bureau commenced a firearms investigation following an incident in which the suspects pointed a firearm and assaulted an employee of a Subway restaurant on Harwood Avenue South in Ajax, said a police statement.

Investigators executed three search warrants in Markham and two in Ajax. Police seized various firearm parts and a handgun.

They were both held for a bail hearing.

The investigation is ongoing and investigators continue to look for a third suspect.
