Son arrested for stabbing mom at Pickering home

A 25-year-old male has been arrested after stabbing his mother at a residence in Pickering.

On Wednesday, May 11, at about 8:20 am members of West Division responded to a residence in the area of Valley Ridge Crescent and Thicket Crescent for a disturbance. Officers located a middle-aged female with life-threatening injuries. The victim was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre.

A 25-year-old male was arrested at the home and is charged with Assault by Choking; Aggravated Assault; Assault with a Weapon and Weapons Dangerous. He was held for a bail hearing.
