23-year old female charged with luring underage teen

A 23-year-old Oshawa female has been charged with luring a 15-year-old male online, Durham Police said yesterday.

In March, investigators from the Child Exploitation Unit began an investigation after receiving information about the online luring of a youth from Oklahoma, USA. DRPS was assisted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), in locating and safeguarding the victim.

The suspect was arrested on Thursday, May 12.

Investigators want to ensure there are no other victims. The suspect was previously employed in an organization that dealt with youths aged 15 to 17. The offences occurred over several social media platforms. Usernames associated to this investigation include; ‘dragonqueen’, ‘drnkcookiemonsta’ and ‘court123_always’.
