Victim, two women charged in daylight Pickering shooting

Durham Police investigators have seized drugs, ammunition and cash as part of an ongoing shooting investigation into a daytime shooting in Pickering on March 6.

Police executed a search warrant at a residence on Altona Road on Monday, March 7 in connection to this shooting and seized four kilograms of cannabis, three and half kilograms of cocaine, ammunition and approximately $20,000 in Canadian currency.

The 35-year-old shooting victim, a 54-year-old female of Pickering, and a 28-year-old female of Brock Township are now facing a combined 25 criminal charges, said a police statement.

Charges include: Possess Proceeds Obtained by Crime Over $5,000; Possess Ammunition Contrary to Sec 117.01 Order; Careless Storage of Ammunition; Possess Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking; Possess Cannabis for the Purpose of Selling and Unlicenced Person Possess Prohibited/Restricted Weapon.

A picture of the seized items are attached. Names were not released.
