Woman in stolen hit-n-run car also stole four times from LCBO

Two suspects were arrested after fleeing from a collision in Oshawa on yesterday afternoon.

On March 8 at about 1:30 pm, members of Central East Division responded to the area of Northbrook Street and Taunton Road for a possible impaired driver. Investigation revealed that the suspect vehicle was actually fleeing from a fail to remain collision. The driver and passenger of a stolen blue Kia fled on foot. The vehicle was stolen from Oshawa earlier in the day. The male and female were located by uniform officers and arrested, said a police statement.

Further investigation of the female suspect resulted in charges from four separate LCBO thefts in Oshawa in October of 2021.

The man from Oshawa is charged with: Possess Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000; Fail to Remain; Drive While Under Suspension x2. The woman, also from Oshawa, is charged with: Theft Under $5,000 x4; Fail to Comply with Probation and Possess Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000.
