Voyeur who peered into girl’s bedroom held and released

Durham Police said a 42-year-old male has been arrested after peering into a teenage girl’s bedroom window in Bowmanville.

On Wednesday, November 27, members of East Division responded to a residential home in the area of Concession Street East and Trudeau Drive for a prowler call.

At approximately 6:35 p.m., the suspect hoisted himself up to a window and knocked on it. The suspect then fled the scene. The window was to the bedroom of a teenage girl.

Further investigation and review of video footage led the officers to a suspect. On Thursday, November 28, officers arrested the suspect at his residence without incident.

The man from Clarington was charged with voyeurism and released on an undertaking. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Cst. Chesson of East Division Criminal Investigations Branch at 1-888-579-1520.
