The City of Oshawa says construction on Rotary Park and Pool Redevelopment project is progressing steadily, with recent milestones achieved.
The Rotary Park and Pool Redevelopment project serves as Oshawa’s centennial year Legacy Project. The park and pool, originally conceived in the 1920s, have been a cherished gathering place for generations of families and visitors.
It began in spring and has seen the completion of underground work including watermains, storm sewers, and sanitary sewers. Additionally, the footings for the building foundation have been installed.
The project remains on schedule for its target opening in summer 2025.

The Rotary Park Redevelopment project will offer a range of features for residents to enjoy, including:
- A new outdoor pool with four lanes, a zero-entry area, and a toddler pool area
- A destination playground
- A splash pad
- A parking lot
- Pathways
- Site amenities
The upgraded park will comply with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act and Oshawa’s Accessibility Design Standards.
Located at Centre and Gibb Streets in Oshawa’s downtown south area, the park will continue to offer a connection to the Joseph Kolodzie Trail and Brick By Brick Park. It also provides convenient access to City Hall and other downtown destinations and businesses.
