Durham Police seek man for impersonation and fraud

Durham Police is looking for a male wanted for impersonating another male and fraudulently obtaining funds in Durham Region.

Between November 2023 and March this year, the suspect impersonated another male and accessed multiple insurance policies. The suspect submitted applications online to cash several policies that were fraudulently obtained and received over $40,000, police said.

A 35-year-old male of No Fixed Address is wanted for fraud. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.

Peterborough Police Service also has warrants for him on fraud-related charges, Durham Police said.

Investigators encourage the accused to contact legal counsel and make arrangements to turn himself in. The accused has ties to Durham Region, Peterborough and Asphodel-Norwood.
