Waste collection schedule changes for Easter holidays

The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of changes to the scheduled curbside waste collection due to the upcoming Easter holidays.

The changes impact Ajax, Brock, Clarington, Oshawa, Pickering, Scugog, Uxbridge and Whitby.

Residents that normally receive waste collection on Fridays are reminded that due to Good Friday, waste will instead be collected on Saturday, March 30, said the notice..

Oshawa and Whitby: For residents in Oshawa and Whitby, there will be no curbside waste collection on Monday, April 1. Waste collection during the week of April 1 will occur one day later than the regularly scheduled collection day due to the Easter Monday holiday.

Garbage and green bin collection services for Oshawa and Whitby residents is provided by their respective municipalities.

Regional Waste Management Facilities and Household Special Waste Depot: The Regional Waste Management Facilities in Brock, Scugog and Oshawa, and the Household Special Waste Depot in Clarington, will be closed Friday, March 29, and Saturday, March 30. Regular operating hours will resume Tuesday, April 2, the regopma; municipal notice said.
