Suspects spray movie theatre patrons with noxious substance

Durham Police yesterday said two suspects seen with a large knife are wanted for spraying what is believed to be pepper spray in a movie theatre in Oshawa.

On Sunday, March 24 at about 11:20 pm, members of East Division responded to the Cineplex Movie Theatres located at 1351 Grandview Street North.

Two suspects entered a theatre and sprayed what is believed to be pepper spray during a movie. One of the two suspects was seen fleeing with a large knife. Both suspects fled the area prior to police arrival, police said.

Patrons inside sustained minor irritation due to the spray.

The first suspect is described as: male, White, approximately 5’9” tall, and approximately 160 lbs. He was wearing a black toque, black mask, and a gray jogging sweat suit.

The second suspect is described as: male, White, approximately 5’6” tall, and approximately 150 lbs. He was wearing a gray toque, black mask, and black jogging sweat suit.
