More than 110 vehicles joined in a motorcade to thank Whitby healthcare providers at the Lakeridge Health Whitby and Ontario Shores., despite the rain yesterday.
The motorcade began at the Abilities Centre, before travelling south on Gordon Street looping around the Lakeridge Health Whitby site and Ontario Shores facilities. Whitby Town Council Members were joined by residents and community partners displaying signs of thanks in their windows and sounding horns during the procession, said a town statement.
Local first responders – including Whitby Fire and Emergency Services, Durham Region Police Service and Region of Durham Paramedic Services – also participated in the event.
