The Town of Whitby has announced that the pier has been closed for the season.
“We’re glad folks had the opportunity to spend some time at the Whitby Pier this summer,” said a tweet from the town. “But now it’s time to close it down for the season.
“Starting today [November 1], the pier will no longer be accessible to the public. We look forward to welcoming you back in the Spring!” the tweet added.
