Will Oshawa city fees go down… or up?

The City of Oshawa is planning to amend its general fees and charges.

However, the city did not mention in which direction the fees changes are heading.

It announced that the the proposed amendments will be submitted to the city’s Finance Committee on Monday, November 16, 2020 at 1:30 pm.

“The committee will receive Report FIN-20-66 recommending the passage of a by-law to amend the General Fees and Charges By-law 13-2003, as amended, concerning various fees imposed by the City of Oshawa,” said the announcement.

Upon adoption of a recommendation by the Finance Committee, City Council will consider the matter at a meeting on Monday, November 23, 2020 at 9:30 am.

The city said yesterday that individuals wishing to address committee must submit their request in writing to the City Clerk, 50 Centre Street South, 5th Floor, Rundle Tower, L1H 3Z7, by email at clerks@oshawa.ca or by facsimile at 905-436-5697 no later than 4:30 pm, Monday November 9th, 2020.  A copy of the report and proposed by-law will be available as of November 10th on the city’s website at www.oshawa.ca or may be picked up in the City Clerk’s Office.
