Woman at store robbed of cash at knifepoint

Durham Police said two males are in custody after a store was robbed in Beaverton on Wednesday evening.

On March 27 at about 9 pm, members from North Division responded to a robbery call at the Beaverton Superstore located at 286 Mara Road in Beaverton.

Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the complainant who stated she had been robbed at knife point and a quantity of cash was obtained. The suspects had fled the scene prior to police arrival, police said.

The Robbery Unit took over the investigation and were able to identify the two suspects responsible. On Thursday, March 28, one of the suspects was taken into custody by members of North Division and a second was taken into custody after the Robbery Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Beaverton.

Two suspects, both age 22 of no fixed address were charged and held for a bail hearing. Names and further details available at www.drps.ca.
