One man in jail, another in hospital after stabbing in Oshawa

Durham Police yesterday said a male is in custody and a second male is recovering in hospital after being stabbed in Oshawa.

On Thursday, March 28 at about 11:20 pm, members from Central East Division responded to an armed person call in the area of Simcoe Street South and Bagot Street in Oshawa.

Officers arrived on the scene and located a male suffering from a stab wound. He was transferred to a Toronto-area trauma centre in a non-life-threatening condition. Officers on the scene were able to quickly identify a suspect and took him into custody nearby, police said.

The suspect, age 22 of no fixed address was charged and held for bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
