Sixth suspect in Bowmanville pregnant couple’s murder caught

The sixth suspect in the double murder of a Bowmanville couple has been arrested by homicide detectives, police said.

On Friday, March 29, members of the Homicide Unit along with members of the Tactical Support Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Toronto. One male was taken into custody without incident. Investigators are not looking for any further suspects, said a police statement.

The suspect, age 24 of Toronto was charged and held for bail hearing. Name, photo and further details available at www.drps.ca.

On February 4, 2023, at about 12:45 a.m., three masked suspects, who were armed, arrived at an address on Crombie Street in Bowmanville. The suspects entered the residence and shot both victims multiple times at close range. Both victims died instantly. Ms. Alzubaidy was six months pregnant at the time of her murder.
