‘100 Women Who Care’ raised $251,000+ over 10 years

‘100 Women Who Care Durham Region’ announced the celebration of its 10th anniversary will take place on Wednesday, February 12, at Audley Recreation Centre – Community Hall, Ajax. Members of the public are invited to attend.

Over the past 10 years, 100 Women Who Care Durham Region has raised $251,474 for 40 local charities. The organization states that this achievement demonstrates the impact of collective giving—stating that when individuals come together with a shared purpose, they can make a difference in their community.

“Our journey has been about more than just raising funds,” said Jennifer Dempsey, Founding Member. “It’s about building a community of women who care deeply about supporting local organizations and creating positive change. Together, we’ve shown that a small commitment from many can result in significant impact for those in need.”

The 10th Anniversary Celebration and Meeting will feature:

· A review of the achievements of the past decade.
· Recognition of the local charities supported by the organization.
· Stories from local charities.
· Opportunities for networking.
