106kmh in a 60 construction zone with workers present

Road signs may possibly have been seen as a blur as this driver (above) sped along a 60kmh construction zone at 106kmh – and that too with workers present.

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS East Division reported the incident at Bowmanville Avenue and Clarington Concession Road, on Thursday.

Stunting 106kmh in a posted 60kmh…in a construction zone with workers present, it said.

The driver was awarded a fine of $2000, 6 demerit points, a 30-day driving suspension, and a 14-day vehicle impoundment, police said.

Insecure Load

East Division officers spotted an insecure load on Highway  in Clarington, just west of Stephenson Road in  Newcastle.

Driver was traveling 87kmh in a posted 60kmh zone, drawing a loaded trailer with insecure load (see below).

In addition, this trailer was missing it plate, police said

Stunting 93kmh in a posted 50kmh

Another driver was caught doing93kmh in a 50kmh zone at Harmony Road North, just north of Winchester Road East in Oshawa (image below).

The driver was fined $2,000, given 6 Demerit points, a 30-day driving suspension, and a 14-day vehicle impoundment, police said.
