A 13-year old boy attempted to stab another teen at a McDonalds in Oshawa. The aggressor is now facing charges, police said.
On Tuesday, July 28, at around 7:50 pm, members of Central West Division responded to an armed person call at the McDonalds restaurant located at 2585 Thoroughbred Street.
Two teens were involved in an altercation when a 13-year-old boy brandished a knife and attempted to stab a 16-year-old boy before the victim was able to flee. The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival.
The victim did not suffer any physical injuries, police said.
The suspect was located at his residence where he was taken into custody without incident. Investigators later executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence and found the knife used in the incident.
The 13-year-old boy from Oshawa was held for a bail hearing.
